Medical Assistance
The initial cost is the price for the Safety Coordinator, written program, initial and monthly inspections. The employee cost is a separate item for each employee. This course will provide information about basic injuries. It will describe the signs and symptoms for these situations. This course will offer suggestions on steps which can be taken using basic first aid for these minor injuries. If the situation does become more severe the time before advances medical treatment can arrive is most critical. The course will provide information about Good Samaritan Laws, guidance on  what you can do to increase the chance of survival.
For small employers with 10 or less employees there is a basic explanation on how to perform CPR. It is the CPR method used for bystanders. This CPR does not include mouth to mouth breathing. The CPR is presented only as an option for employee use.
If the employer has an AED unit this part of the lesson on Medical Assistance will provide the basic explanation of how the unit functions.
Another part of the course is Stop the Bleeding. In the basic medical assistance the emphasis is on the most common for of bleeding with a small employer of less than 10 employees. This lesson discussed how to Stop the Bleeding for someone who has a nose bleed. Other methods of Stop the Bleeding is covered in a separate course.
Upon completing all the lessons the individual will have a quiz. Upon completing the quiz a certificate is awarded.
